Located near Howald station - M/F - Permanent contract - Full time

With 50 years of experience, Baker Tilly Luxembourg is one of the country's largest consulting companies, offering a wide range of services to national and international clients. We are seeking an accountant with 3 to 5 years of work experience for our Luxembourg office.

Ideally located opposite the Howald interchange, combining the railway station, the junction of the A3, A1, and A6 highways, strategic bus routes to the city center and airport, a shared bike station, and now the Tram, Baker Tilly Luxembourg's offices are at the heart of all connections.

 

Your Mission

You will join the tax department and will participate in the development of a team dedicated to VAT compliance matters. 

Your main tasks will be the following: 

  • Supervising the preparation of Luxembourg periodic and annual VAT returns / Preparing more complex VAT returns
  • Assisting the accounting managers / teams with their daily VAT-related questions
  • VAT due diligences
  • Preparing VAT advisory memos
  • Preparing and holding VAT trainings for clients and for our own staff
  • Attending Baker Tilly network international VAT conferences and business development meetings
  • Legal monitoring in VAT field
     

Your Profile 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or a university degree in Economics, Law or Finance
  • Min. 5 years of experience (manager level) in VAT compliance acquired within a tax firm or an accounting firm 
  • You are familiar with VAT related to commercial and real estate companies
  • Rigor and analytical skills
  • Proficient in French and English, knowledge of German is an asset
  • Good interpersonal skills
